First up we will be heading north at Flagstaff to Kayenta and Monument Valley. From there we will be heading to Page/Lake Powell at the eastern end of the Grand Canyon before heading west to Grand Canyon Village and spending a day "doing the South Rim".
Later on along the Mother Road, when we reach Kingman, we will be heading up to Las Vegas, via the Hoover Dam, and during our "day off" in Las Vegas we are going to treat ourselves to a helicopter ride over Lake Mead, the Hoover Dam and in to the Grand Canyon itself, before heading back to Vegas and flying down The Strip! Can't wait!
After doing Vegas, we head back down to Kingman (the other side of the Colorado river) and then continue on along Route 66. If we think we have time, we may pop down to Lake Havasu to see London Bridge!
We should see plenty of the Grand Canyon, which will be good. It would have been nice to spend a couple of days on a white water trip through the Canyon but sadly we just don't have the time.
